Plain - Turbo Dart Points

The Plain Turbo Dart Points are replacement screw-in steel tip points from Shot, machined from hardened 420J2 / 3Cr13 stainless steel. They thread into barrels built for Shot's Turbo point system and other compatible screw-in point barrels, and are sold as a set of three in either 30mm or 40mm, in black, gold or silver. These are the unbranded points in the Turbo range, without the player or series markings carried by the Michael Smith and Goths versions.

Because the points thread in rather than being pressed into the barrel, a bent or blunt point can be swapped out in a couple of minutes instead of the barrel going away for repointing, and the same thread lets you change point length to suit how you throw — a 40mm point adds a little length and shifts weight slightly forward, while 30mm keeps the balance closer to the barrel's original setup. Groove detailing along the point body increases the surface gripping into the board fibres, which reduces the chance of a dart dropping out after a hit from another dart, and the V-cut machining around the collar gives a fixed reference point for players who grip close to the front of the barrel.

The keyway lead-in is cut so the thread engages cleanly on every change, limiting wear when points are swapped regularly, and hardened stainless steel holds its edge and resists bending on wire hits better than softer mild steel points. The three finishes are cosmetic and perform identically, so the choice comes down to matching the barrel and shafts. The Shot Turbo Point tool used to fit and remove the points is sold separately.
