Kapene Gold Ti - Turbo Dart Points

The Kapene Gold Ti Turbo Dart Points are replacement screw-in steel tip points from Shot, machined from hardened 420J2 / 3Cr13 stainless steel and finished in a gold titanium coating applied at Shot's factory in New Zealand. They use Shot's Turbo Point system, an M2.5 threaded connection that fits Shot barrels with a threaded front end as well as barrels from other brands that accept a standard threaded point. Older Shot barrels built for press-in points can be converted with a Shot Thread Head Point Adaptor. Lengths are 30mm, 35mm and 40mm, sold as a set of three in gold only.

Because the point threads in rather than being pressed into the barrel, a bent or blunt point can be changed in a couple of minutes with the Shot Turbo Point Tool instead of the barrel going away for repointing, and the same thread lets you switch length to suit your throw — a 40mm point adds length and shifts weight slightly forward, while 30mm keeps the balance closer to the barrel's original setup. Grip detailing machined along the point body increases the surface holding into the board fibres, which reduces the chance of a dart dropping out after being struck by another dart, and the V-cut machining around the collar gives a fixed finger reference for players who grip close to the front of the barrel. The titanium coating is a few microns thick and adds corrosion resistance over bare steel, though it is a surface layer and will show wear with heavy use. The keyway lead-in is cut so the thread engages cleanly on every change, limiting wear when points are swapped regularly.
