Brass rather than tungsten, which changes what the dart is for. Brass is far less dense, so the same weight needs a considerably bigger barrel — more room taken up in the board, and a fraction of the price.

The brass Gator makes the comparison plain: 22g here needs 55mm of length and 8.5mm of width, where the tungsten Gator holds the same weight in 52mm and 6.4mm. That's two millimetres of extra diameter, which is real estate the second and third dart would otherwise have.

None of which makes it a bad dart — it makes it a different one. At this price it's an excellent way to start, or to keep a spare set at the club, and the straight profile with a moderate 3 out of 5 grip is about as neutral a starting point as you could ask for while an action is still settling.
