Black coating on a point is largely cosmetic — it is the tip sharpness and the surface texture that decide how the dart holds, not the finish. What a coating does is look better for longer, since bare steel picks up marks from wires immediately.

Harrows make these as fixed points rather than part of an interchangeable system, so check what your barrels take before ordering.

Points blunt against wires with use, and a blunt point skids where a sharp one holds. A sharpener is the cheapest accessory in darts and the most neglected.

Supplied as a set of three.

Available in 35mm, 38mm, 41mm and 44mm. Longer points generally flatten the angle the dart lands at and give the barrel more clearance from the board — worth trying if your darts are sitting tail-up.
